OUR BREAKTHROUGH.... from Quantum Dots to Permanent Magnets
NCM’s big breakthrough occurred when it began experimenting with introducing a single ionic dopant into a quantum dot sized nanoparticle of certain select materials which are not rare earths.
These materials then exhibited ferromagnetic properties which did not exist before. Images taken by a Transmission Electron Microscope and an Atomic Force Microscope confirmed that magnetic anisotropy had been artificially engineered by the introduction of a dopant in a tiny 10-20 nm sized particle.

Our breakthrough confirms what the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences stated ... that science has just “started exploiting the potential of these tiny particles.”
Unleashing the incredible power of small.
